Run Your Own Race
Share
Today’s run wasn’t about speed.
I slowed down on purpose.
Eight intervals. Walking between each one. Focusing on form instead of pace.
For a long time, I thought running slower meant I wasn’t improving.
Now I see it differently.
How often do we do this in life?
We rush because someone else seems farther ahead.
We compare our progress to people on a different path.
We chase accomplishments that impress others instead of building a life that feels true to us.
But the strongest foundations are rarely built in a hurry.
Running has been teaching me something I need to remember outside of running, too:
Move at a pace that allows you to grow.
Your career.
Your relationships.
Your business.
Your health.
None of them are races against someone else.
They’re invitations to become who you’re meant to be, one intentional step at a time.
Maybe slowing down isn’t falling behind.
Maybe it’s finally running your own race.
Run Slow. Stay Free.
Less Ego. More Heart.
